Kinloss Abbey

Kinloss Abbey
The Kinloss Abbey Trust was created in 2003 as the natural development of the Kinloss Abbey Working Group put together in the summer of 2002 by The Moray Council. The group was instigated by the Findhorn & Kinloss Community Council to look at ways of raising the public awareness to the existence of the Abbey and to look at the general condition of the Abbey ruins and consider ways to preserve the monument for posterity.

The Trust presently comprises seven Trustees plus ex-officio members from Historic Scotland, Regional Archaeologist, Council for Scottish Archaeology and Officers of The Moray Council. Working with the Trust is LDN Architects, historic buildings specialists.   In addition there are general members of the Trust known as the ‘Friends of Kinloss Abbey’.
